Are you feeling lucky today?

Today was a work day for me . And a long work day too . Coming home at 4.30 having left at 6.10am, my big pup Beau and my smallest little chick both rush out to see me as they do most days. And as on most days I eagerly wait to see what creation chicky # 2 has on for me to view! Todays look was the PJ Barbie rock princess emsemble complete with guitar. When I saw the prompt above I knew i had to photograph today's look I'm not in the photo but the slight blurring is me shaking the camera ( in fits of laughter ) as she performs a Black Eyed Peas number: "pump it "- the latest tune to her repertoire ( blame big sis ), heh last week it was Avril L's ' girlfriend " !!

No matter how shocking the day my kids make me appreciate how lucky I am!!!

Day 26

In the light heart frame of mind still - went for a silly pic of me applying what my loving dh calls my war paint!! I love wearing makeup - indeed I love buying it, applying it and even handling it. I 'm not obssessed though. Even though my face certainly needs more cover up these days, there are mornings when I go to work ' naked ' and it really doesn't bother me. That is until I'm asked if I am feeling well as I look washed out ha ha!!!

Recently I have been having converstaions with girlfriends about brands I am not necessary a labels girl , but I am a sucker for fabulous packaging. Nars, Chanel, Bobbi Brown, Benefit, Mac - all rock my boat. Ahh to be a woman is so much fun ( albeit a tad superficial ! ) ; )

I have done alot of soul searching type journaling so I want to keep this light I took a photo of me amongst part of my mask collection trying to mimic the choc box. I haver a fairly good collection from my travels the two Srilankan dance masks are amongst my favs.

Luck I truly believe you create your own luck. I am lucky for many reasons but it's my family and the love they give me that makes me feel truly lucky!!

Day 23

Prompt - "All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my closeup."

Ohhh I hate close ups and this is the best shot of about 50 I took tonight!!!!! I just don't take good photos at least 365 is making me face up to one of my fears ie. having my photo taken!! I notice the enlarged pores, the shadows, the etched lines around my eyes, the hair in bad need of a cut and colour BUT this is me and I have said I would accept me for me this year so breathing deeply I will press the ' publish post' button after this!

Day 22

Prompt - " There's no place like home"

How true but having lived in 2 diffrenmt countries over 15 homes in the last 20 yrs I have come to the rapid conclusion that there is more to home than the bricks and mortar around you. Kuwait for us we know is a temporary home, but we have been here 9 yrs together . Having met here and both Brad and I coming from 2 different countries it has become our neutral territory. My children know no different. Living here has given us plenty of opportunity. One day we will have our own house but for now, home for me and my family is the place that we are together!
